Welcome to our new “Woodsy Wednesday” feature. We have intended to do this for some time. I mean create a devoted day of the week that we communicate with partners, friends, or whoever stumbles upon this what is going on with our ministry. And so…
Today the whole family was walking back from GIAL‘s (Linguistic Training School) chapel, and oldest daughter wanted to hold the chapel program. A few minutes later, we noticed that she was walking and reading — literally studying that program. She didn’t see where she was going. She was preoccupied by the photos and the words, but the good thing is she had a guide to keep her on the sidewalk, her Mom.
In that moment I realized, I needed to stop fixing my focus on what is ahead, Jesus is right there next to me keeping me on the path. I need to make the most of the time I have to learn, because there is a group of guys that I will be going back to in PNG, who need me to share all this. Learn it now and share it then so their Bible translations are the best they can be.
And so what do I leave you with…Keep focusing on the “Words of Jesus” (The Bible). You don’t have to worry about tomorrow, because He is keeping you on track. Learn them and Know them, a day will come that will require you to unashamedly live and speak the truth of those words.
