Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
This week, we had the opportunity to fellowship with our small group from church at a game night. It was such a sweet time of fellowship with other believers, and an exciting time of making new friends.
As we have been quite far from home the last few years, no truer has this Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 been in our lives. We have found that we need friends in every place we go!
We need our friends “back home” our church family, and all those supporting us as we work in Papua New Guinea. Its impossible to stay on the field and do the work God has for us, without people at home encouraging us, praying for us, and supporting us in various other ways!
We also need our friends that are serving with us. As we go through our everyday lives in Papua New Guinea, its important to have people around us who are going through the same things. We are able to pray with each other, encourage each other, and honestly cry together when things get tough. It is the same here while in Texas, we need friends who are like those friends in Papua New Guinea.
We thank the LORD for all of you that are our friends. For picking us up when we need it, and surrounding us with love! We thank the Lord often for each one of you, please take a minute to thank the Lord for all your friends!
