A look at the Ramu river-valley in the early morning, isn’t she absolutely beautiful!!! We typically fly over it on the way to the village. This is the Sepik river the longest river in Papua New Guinea. Check it out on Google maps. Oh and we forgot to mention, IT’S FULL OF CROCODILES.We don’t fly the whole way to the village. If we are lucky our airstrip’s grass is cut we only have a 2.5 hour drive by car, and let me assure you the roads don’t look this nice. 😉While the PMV (public motor vehicle) driver and his crew were taking a pit-stop the girls posed for a photo leaning out the windows of the Landcruiser.Click the above button for more info about our ministry and to pledge partnership.
Hey Rachel – your newsletter was TOOOO short. However, I took your suggestion to look up the Sepik River which I never heard of before. Very interesting!!
So much beauty – loved those orchids!! Such neat insight into the lives of the indigenous people.
It is amazing that while some of us are flying through outer space and running tiny cameras through people’s veins to scout out diseases, there are still people who don’t use clothing and who believe that man-made images they carve from wood can affect their lives. What a contrast.
What a marvelous adventure for your family. Thanks for the photos and the update.
Thanks for you comment on our Woodsy Wednesday. Sorry for the brief nature of this update. However it isn’t actually our full Newsletter per say. This is actually a once a week update that we do called the Woodsy Wednesday. Itismeanttobe kept short with lots of pictures. Sometimes it is longer than other times though.
Again Thanks for your comment on our post. It was great to hear from you. We love y’all and appreciate your partnership in what God has sent us to do!
